We beat TOR and NO. Then lost to DEN and MIN. We sit in last in the NWest Division. Behind improved Portland. Ring in the new year at home VS depleted Paul Pierceless Boston. Busy and lagging on my blog like the Sonics on the floor. Things will pick up, even during Charger playoff time, as far as that goes. All the way...hopefully. Bolts have a bye 1st week. Will have more time. Happy New Year!

Dino Thrash
Been neglecting my Sonic duties during this post ugly road trip win in Seattle. My Charger duties call and I was in Seattle and sipping Cuervo and PBR at the Twilight Lounge watching this game on TV with tix in my pocket for the Christmas eve game at Qwest Field. Chargers/Hawks baybee, and the Bolts stole one in Seattle. Good win Sonics, I'll give this blog more love after the the NFL playoffs.

Terri Bull
Lost in Shy Town. Watson sat also. Walking wounded and we were an average team before injuries.
Portland beat Memphis, barely, to go 3-2 on a road trip, not bad. Winning ugly though. Oh, The WA Huskies hoop team is representin'!

Oh Warriors, Come Out & Play Hay
4 in a row at home. And 3 cosecutive wins. Without Ray Allen? Banding together and playing team ball. Spreading the wealth. Players from France? Yeah, they're in it too. We are hitting the road on a high note, let's keep ourselves up in those clouds. The Sonics invade the Mid West with games at MIL, CLE, and MEM. We can take 2 definitely. Cleveland will be tough. LaBron, can we defense him? Apparently not. Contain him? Maybe a little, or make him score everything. And score over 100 and we'll beat them. Tough road in the town where Lake Erie once caught fire. Water can burn, if only in Cleveland. Watched the Blazers play Milwaukee a few days ago and Micheal Redd is the real deal. Portland missed a chance to win at the buzzer and lost in OT. The Bucks can be had in their building. By the way, the Blazers nightly McMillan rotation is 2-2 on they're current road trip. Beat Toronto last night. I feel we are just a cut above Portland with some playoff hopes at least. It is distant now, but a roll could get us on our way. Reality prognosis is it is unlikely. But without hope, what do have? Keep hope alive.
Another high note was Damien Wilkins, starting for Ray Allen, pouring in 22. And 9 reb's to boot. Compainin' Earl Watson is playing well. It's all about consistency Earl. I love that show "My Name Is Earl" We need a karma list. Is the Bennett threat working?

The Voodoo Worked...Somewhat
If you haven't heard we lost leading scorer Ray Allen for at least 2 weeks. We won without him tonight.
Heard some good stuff on a radio show here about a strong argument why the Sonics will not leave Seattle. Sell outs don't matter, seattle is the 12th largest market or something. Bennett would be a fool to move them. Then the other guy yells no one in Seattle cares anymore and Seattle fans are fairweather (True?)and couldn't care less anymore. I wish I could say I beg to differ but its somewhat true. I think about a Sonic less Seattle and it saddens me. I remember the Seattle Pilots one year of 1969, went to some games in old Sicks Stadium. I loved the Pilots, Seattle had a major league team I thought back then, WOW! How cool. Nobody in Seattle cared, or anywhere else. They moved to Milwaukee, rather meekly. I was devastated.
Is another blow coming? A major team with 1 Championship and numerous deep runs. Legends of the game played here. Alot of not so much legends. I hope we have NBA ball in Seattle forever.
Trade rumors are flying about Rashard. Look and see. I'm busy in Chargerville. Will be on this blog full time after the Bolts win the Super Bowl.
Another piece of news, heard Bennett dropped some ultimatum about we either turn it around in 2 weeks or major shake ups will occur. I'm all for anything. Go cray zee. Maybe he said something about the playoffs. Uh, ok. That's lookin' like a real possibility without Allen. Just like Sonic Ball.

Allen Less Sonics Roll
My pc has been buggin' so I missed a few games. We beat Indiana and lost (again) on a last second shot to the Jazz. Tonight we dispatched of ATL without Ray Allen. Thats seven in a row over the Hawks. Why can't every NBA team be like the Hawks? We would have a playoff run then. A good sign is Rashard Lewis stepping up to lead with 29 points and Chris Wilcox with 18. Although we let Joe Johnson score 34 for his 5th straight game of 30 or more, we blasted the Hawks. New Orleans comes in next, and they have come back to earth. Let's beat them and get to .500, yeah, what a lofty goal, eh? Work with what ya got.
And congrats to the Trailblazers who started a grueling road trip with a win in Detroit. Kudos. Zach was the man, hitting the game winning shot.

Home Depot
Holy Toledo, we won at home. We sat Petro and replaced him with Collison and it paid dividends. Luke won the game driving to the hole with time running out. Nick pulled down 8 rebounds and poured in 21 pts! Ray n Rashard had 18 apiece. I'll take it. Build on it. I'm not overextending myself anymore till we win like 8 in a row if thats possible. A letdown seems inevitable with this team. Score over 100, win most of the time. Don't? Lose. The Jazz loom. We match up well and have a good history against the awesome Jazz, least so far. And no signs of letting up. And Who Dat Orlando and Dwight howard? Solid team.
