The Garden was rawkin' and the Blazers put on quite a show. Chants of RUU-DEEEE! echoed to the rafters whenever he came in or touched the ball. And Rudy delivered. Earth, Wind, & Fire opened the show with "Shining Star" introductions after a medley of hits. It kinda rawked as cheesy NBA shows go. But they wuz tight!Remember when this was a Sonic blog? 3rd best Sonic blog in the nation by Deadspin.com in 06 I believe. It was called Sha Lock Lock Sonic Boom. Last night after a thundering dunk by 19 year old French phenom Nicolas Batum that brought the house down they flashed a little nickname graphic on the Jumbotron, and Nic's nickname is now Sha Lock lock BAAA-TUUUUM! Eerie, huh? I thought so. Batum is good. A defensive freak with an enormous wingspan. It was an entire team effort and a great confidence builder going into tonights game at PHX and right after the Laker shellacking, nice turnaround. Team looked solid and extremely confident. We let them have the last shot though when we should have nailed it shut. Michael Finley missed a mid short range jumper as time expired and we semi backed into the win at the end. We controlled most of the game in my opinion.
Roy was the leader and a main leader as usual, finishing with 26 points. More coming...
