Who's your daddy? No I mean it, this is a 1970 picture of Calvin Murphy, the Sean Kemp of the 1970's. The Houston Rockets entered the league with the Sonics in 1967 as the San Diego Rockets. Think it was an industry there once...no more. Notice the similarity in colors to the Sonics. Think the Rockets moved to Houston in 1971 or so? The Sonics meet the Rockets tonight in Houston. The Rockets are rolling with Ming and McGrady back in the line up. Sonics need some dee to win! Calvin Murphy inspired Jon Stockton to wear short shorts years later.
Yao and Tracy sport the 1971 classic reds in a game recently...ahhh, the memories. Rudy T and Jack Marin, fun to watch.
